Blanket Box / Storage Box
A blanket box also known as storage box is used for storage purpose and is usually placed in the bedroom or living room. The types of blanket and storage boxes are as follows -
Blanket box with seat
In this type the top of blanket box has a removable seat and beneath this seat you will find the storage box. This type of blanket box provides both the storage and sitting option.
Blanket box without seat
In this type the top of blanket box has a wooden shelf which can be used as a coffee table in your living room and beneath this top you will find the storage box.
Blanket box with fixed top
In this type the top of storage box is fixed and drawers with handles are attached on the front side of the box. These types of storage boxes are usually smaller in size.
Storage trunks
Storage trunks come with handles on both sides, having a lock on the front side and are similar to blanket box.

The blanket box can be used to store blankets, bedsheets, cushions, winter clothes and other household items. It can be easily placed at the end of the bed or in the corner area of your room. A grip or handles are attached to both the sides of blanket box for lifting and moving it from one place to another. It can be found in traditional and contemporary range. The size of storage depends upon the dimensions of blanket box. It comes in small, medium, large and extra large sizes.
Blanket boxes are made from oak, pine or teak wood. Blanket boxes made from bamboo and rattan are also available in the market. The finish and the color can be in beech, maple, mahogany, yew, rustic, dark, light, wax and lacquered. Before buying make sure that whether the blanket box comes readymade assembled or a self assembly is required.
